Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists and technicians with dispensing medications and providing customer service
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations, including inventory management and billing procedures
  • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in areas such as patient counseling and medication therapy management
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless delivery of patient care and services
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a pharmacy program or have completed a minimum of one year of pharmacy school
  • Pharmacy Intern Permit, where applicable by state law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Immunization certification
  • Systems aptitude and computer skills
