As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing underwriting strategies, managing the underwriting process, and collaborating with other departments to achieve the company's goals. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure accurate and competitive insurance solutions. * Lead and manage the underwriting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-performing team members. * Assess and analyze risks to determine the appropriate level of coverage and premiums, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. * Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and finance departments to ensure comprehensive risk assessment and accurate pricing. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to stay ahead of the competition. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and retention. * Oversee the underwriting process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy, and provide regular reports and updates to senior management on underwriting performance and market conditions. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field. * Professional designation (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred. * Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience in the insurance industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. * Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with a high level of integrity and ethical standards. * In-depth knowledge of underwriting principles, practices, and regulations, with proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Licensed to underwrite in the states we serve, with a producer health and accident license in at least one state; with the ability to obtain licenses in additional states as required.
