Spiritual Care Minister Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Spiritual Care Minister to join our team at Hospital Sisters Health System. As a Spiritual Care Minister, you will provide spiritual support and care to patients, families, and staff, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients and families in coping with the psychological, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects of illness and stress.
  • Provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for patients to express their feelings and concerns.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Document interventions and outcomes to ensure quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in spiritual care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field.
  • One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from an accredited ACPE program.
  • Current certification with NACC, APC, NAJC, or CASC preferred.
