Corrections Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Corrections Officer to join our team in the Community Corrections Division. As a Corrections Officer, you will play a critical role in supervising and supporting individuals who have committed a crime and are under community supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support individuals under community supervision to ensure they comply with the terms of their supervision.
- Enforce supervision conditions and the law to ensure public safety.
- Lead and mentor other Corrections Officers to ensure effective supervision and support.
- Act as the Unit Duty Officer to provide 24/7 coverage and support.
Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Community Corrections Officer with the Washington State Department of Corrections.
- Bachelor's degree from a college or university whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or the US Department of Education, or foreign equivalent.
- Three years of professional work experience in adult or juvenile corrections, counseling, social work, social services, law enforcement, or closely related field.
