Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Essentia Health. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in aiding in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of various pathologic conditions across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting test results to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans
- Maintaining quality control and ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations
- Performing complex tests, including specimen processing and troubleshooting
- Participating in research and education initiatives to improve laboratory practices and patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or related field
- Certification as a Cytotechnologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) within one year of hire
- Licensed per state requirements
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a day rotation schedule. You may be required to work overtime or participate in call shifts, but these are not guaranteed.
