Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Midstate Radiology Associates. This role will provide support to our radiology department, working under the direction of Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collect and record patient data, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  2. Assist patients in pre and post-op areas, providing a safe and comfortable environment.
  3. Transport patients to and from radiology procedures, maintaining a high level of patient care.
  4. Implement selected aspects of the patient care plan, adhering to hospital policy and procedure.
  5. Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
  6. Maintain unit equipment and supplies, ensuring optimal functionality.
  7. Perform vital signs, phlebotomy (if certified), and other delegated tasks.
  8. Assist with patient communication, screening, scheduling, and coordinating follow-up care.
  9. Perform clerical duties, including scanning, faxing, and maintaining records.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or Medical Assistant Certification required or Certified Nurses Aide Program (CMA, CCMA, RMA, CNA).
  • At least one year of prior work experience in a direct patient hospital care setting preferred.
