About the Role:

Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team. As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, escalators, and VLT Machines and other work areas
  • Sweep floors and walkways
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills
  • Empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays
  • Replenish bathroom supplies
  • Keep storage rooms clean and organized
  • Deliver cleaning supplies and paper products
  • Answer guests' questions about the facility

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission

Working Conditions:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Physical Demands:

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
