We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team at TotalMed Staffing. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with patients who require respiratory care and support.

About the Role

In this position, you will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders. Your responsibilities will include administering treatments, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients and families on respiratory conditions and self-care techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders to determine appropriate treatment plans
  • Administer respiratory treatments and therapies, such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
  • Monitor patients' respiratory status, vital signs, and response to therapy, adjusting treatment as needed
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive respiratory care plans for optimal patient outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • CRT and RRT certifications
  • BLS certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required)
  • Two years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
