Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Archaeological Researcher to join our team at Ladgov Corporation.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cultural resource surveys and monitoring archaeological sites in the Albuquerque area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research on the area to be surveyed to identify any National Register listed or eligible properties.
  • Travel to and visit the site(s) to perform on-site cultural resource surveys or monitoring as needed.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the survey findings and submit them to the Indian Health Service for review and concurrence.
  • Provide archaeological monitoring services as required by the report findings and SHPO/THPO stipulations.
  • Deliver the following reports:
  • Two hard copies of the report, along with a PDF copy.
  • A report that includes detailed maps in color and required forms for the specific state of the survey.

Requirements

  • Hold a graduate degree in anthropology, history, or a closely related field.
  • Have at least two years of experience in conducting research, fieldwork, writing, and project management activities.
