Principal Risk Manager, Dangerous Goods, Global Supply Chain Safety

The Dangerous Goods (DG) team is seeking a highly experienced Risk Manager to join our global supply chain safety efforts.

This role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive safety and compliance across customer deliveries and reverse logistics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DG regulations, experience with safety risk analysis, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing DG policies, controls, and processes to ensure safe and compliant transportation
  • Collaborating with project managers to build best-in-class DG transportation solutions
  • Driving process development and deployment for compliant DG shipments throughout the Amazon network
  • Auditing Amazon nodes and contracted 3rd party service providers to ensure compliance

Basic qualifications include 10 years of experience shipping DG, current 49CFR and IATA certifications, and 5 years of experience performing safety risk analysis.

Preferred qualifications include IMDG, TDG, NOM's, and ADR certifications.

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $214,500/year in our highest geographic market.

Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
