Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Engineer to join our team at CBRE. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex preventive and corrective maintenance, repairs, and installations of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Monitor building system operations and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.
  • Prepare estimates detailing the amount of time and materials needed for completing tasks and maintain adequate supplies and tools.
  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Perform specialized and complex tasks such as carpentry, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, welding, furniture assembly/relocation, and locksmith tasks.
  • Use PC and/or PDA for work order system, email, ESS, and training, and respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and eight or more years of experience in electrical systems, refrigeration, and/or HVAC.
  • Universal CFC certification required.
  • Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, and ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents, solve problems involving several options in situations, and conduct basic financial analysis.
