Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the performance of advanced water treatment systems at a manufacturing facility.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, maintain, repair, and optimize industrial equipment performance
  • Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment
  • Perform analytical testing, including turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, and other site-specific testing requirements
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
  • Create and maintain site paperwork and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as motors, PLCs, VFDs, valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
  • Partner with customer management and operation teams to advise on system performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years' experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, Controls, or programming, and/or water treatment equipment, including UF/MBR
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the jobsite
  • Sometimes emergency service may be required
  • Ability to gain and maintain access to customer sites assigned

Working Conditions:

This position is based in Hemlock, MI, and requires living within a 45-minute drive of the location. As a Water Treatment Specialist, you will be exposed to various working conditions, including outdoor environments and industrial settings.
