Firefighter Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at the City of El Segundo Fire Department. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for responding to emergency calls, providing medical aid, and participating in fire prevention and suppression activities.

• Respond to emergency calls and provide medical aid to individuals in need
• Participate in fire prevention and suppression activities, including inspections and training exercises
• Operate various firefighting equipment and apparatus, including pumps, hoses, and extinguishers
• Provide emergency medical care, including administering lifesaving techniques and systems
• Communicate with medical personnel and prepare related reports

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid California Class C Driver license and have a satisfactory driving record
• Must possess a current EMT-P Paramedic license with the State of California
• Must possess a current Basic Life Support (CPR) for the Healthcare Provider certificate

As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, responding to emergency calls and participating in fire prevention and suppression activities. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including a helmet, coat, and pants, and to work in a variety of weather conditions.
