Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Associate to join our team at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. As an HR Associate, you will be responsible for performing various human resources functions, including new hire onboarding, benefits administration, leaves of absence management, workers' compensation reporting, and providing administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the new employee hiring process by coordinating pre-employment physical appointments, monitoring the completion and submission of new hire paperwork requirements, and notifying new employees and supervisors of the status of paperwork.
  2. Update internal job postings, monitor background checks, review I-9 verification, issue badges, and create new hire files.
  3. Handle leaves of absences, unemployment claims processing, and workers' compensation reporting.
  4. Present the HR portion at monthly New Hire Orientation, prepare new hire orientation packets.
  5. Process status changes, perform data entry in Ascentis HR and Workforce Now.
  6. Generate reports using Ascentis HR, NOVAtime, WFN, Word, and Excel.
  7. Provide customer service to employees and vendors via phone, email, or in-person.
  8. Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
  9. Verify employment following proper procedures.
  10. Create, file, photocopy, and fax documents as needed.
  11. Maintain and order supplies for the department.
  12. Participate in HR projects and audit preparations.
  13. Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum high school diploma and two years' experience in performing human resources functions. Working knowledge of state and federal employment law, computer skills, and knowledge of HR software, timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office applications are preferred. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is beneficial.
