About the Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a critical role in building the bedrock of our healthcare payments platform. You'll craft scalable deployment pipelines, configure auto-scaling server clusters, and architect networks. Our internal team, healthcare providers, and insurers rely on our system daily to accomplish their work.

We're looking for someone who relishes the challenges of implementing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure deployments, and maximizing Infra-as-Code.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a dent in the struggles of our nation's healthcare payments system from day one. Your Responsibilities:

Writing production-level code for our Pulumi infrastructure deployment scripts in Typescript
Managing AWS and Azure infrastructure
Managing development and production environments
Designing new utilities and tools to improve operations
Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and self-hosted task runners
Developing a best-in-class observability stack using Datadog
Engaging in architectural decisions for data pipelines and horizontal scalability
Working closely with our data engineers to implement pipelines using Airflow and Kubernetes
Defining SLOs/SLAs and improving platform observability

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and scaling cloud-hosted and Kubernetes-managed workloads. You should have deep expertise in AWS concepts such as IAM, Route 53, and EKS. Additionally, you should have intimate knowledge of implementing and operating CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, or similar technologies.

Demonstrated experience operating and scaling production systems is a must.

You should also have programming experience in at least one language, such as Typescript, Python, or Go, as well as bash scripting experience. Experience developing infrastructure as code using Pulumi or similar tools is a plus.

We're looking for someone who can propose and implement DevSecOps patterns, including container signing, image hardening, PKI infrastructure, and encryption.
