Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Patient Scheduling Coordinator - Transplant Services to support our Kidney Acquisition team. This role plays a critical part in coordinating transplant-related services, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care throughout their transplant journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule transplant-related services to minimize patient visits and ensure timely care delivery.
  • Monitor patient progress through transplant phases, coordinating necessary testing and validating financial clearance.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, coordinating appointments and managing patient inquiries both in person and by phone.
  • Communicate with clinicians regarding patient status, including testing completion and compliance.
  • Collaborate with ancillary departments to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality is essential.
  • Preferred experience in medical scheduling, transplant processes, or related healthcare fields.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to learn electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual fluency is highly preferred, with certification as a department translator preferred.
