Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in the aerospace industry. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a vital role in supporting best-in-class security strategies to achieve business goals.

The successful candidate will monitor, advise, and act as liaison between functional and development teams, third-party providers, and other stakeholders. You will provide ongoing IT and business support, configuring, monitoring, and managing security systems and resources.

This role involves providing technical expertise regarding security risks and risk mitigation approaches. You will be responsible for documenting and presenting your findings to senior management and other stakeholders.

• Support the development and management of security systems, policies, procedures, practices, and standards.
• Provide tactical support and execution, focused on incident prevention, detection, and response.
• Assist with the evaluation of new security-related technologies for potential use in replacing, enhancing, or integrating with existing IT systems.
• Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, taking corrective action where necessary.
• Support the administration of endpoint security solutions, intrusion detection systems, security monitoring tools, and network security tools.
• Facilitate endpoint security, vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection, security monitoring, and incident response company-wide.
• Investigate and respond to potential threats by analyzing results from security monitoring and vulnerability assessment tools.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years' experience working in information technology, information systems, or business systems, with at least 5 years of experience related to enterprise security.
• Security Certification and/or prior experience in a global security team.
• Detailed understanding of attack vectors, current threats, and their remediation strategies.
• Detailed understanding of control frameworks and reference architectures such as NIST, MITRE, and Cyber Security kill chain.
• Proven experience with IT projects and deliverables.
