Job Title: Elementary Education Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Elementary Education Coach to join our team at I Dream Public Charter School. As an Elementary Education Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic and social growth of our students.

Job Summary:

The Elementary Education Coach will work closely with our Lead Coach and Special Education Coach to develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students. You will be responsible for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social responsibility.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our school's curriculum and instructional framework.
    • Provide accommodations and strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
    • Collaborate with the Lead Coach and Special Education Coach to co-plan and co-teach lessons.
    • Participate in planning fieldwork and service learning activities that deepen academic understanding and connect with students' interests.
    • Set high academic and social expectations for students and provide ongoing feedback and support.
  • Community Building:
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
    • Communicate effectively with families through regular updates and progress reports.
    • Participate in the co-creation of a classroom management system that promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strategic Thinking/Data/Solutions:
    • Collaborate with students, families, and coaching team to measure and celebrate student progress toward mastery of standards and goals.
    • Support the completion of narrative progress reports for students.
    • Identify and monitor goals and strategies to support your own professional learning.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with young children as a teaching assistant or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.
  • Must have a compassionate and positive attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and basic fluency with technology and digital tools.
