About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Banquet Houseperson to support our event operations. As a key member of our banquet team, you will be responsible for setting up and cleaning after events, maintaining a high level of service quality, and working collaboratively with other colleagues to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience in meeting room setup, have knowledge of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette, and possess strong organizational skills. You will be required to work effectively under pressure for extended periods while maintaining professionalism. Your duties will include:

• Setting up tables and chairs to meet function specifications (70%);
• Clean meeting space at the beginning, during, and end of events, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, polishing, wiping, scrubbing (25%);
• Performing other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, prior banquet department experience preferred, and the ability to obtain a government license or certificate if necessary. Additionally, having basic knowledge of table settings and service ware would be advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment are essential.
