We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB or ExCPT certification.
