Community Engagement Advisory Committee Member
The City of Portland is seeking a Community Engagement Advisory Committee Member to join the Portland Committee on Community Engaged Policing. As a member of this committee, you will play a crucial role in advising the Mayor and the Portland Police Bureau on community engagement efforts and providing recommendations on policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations on community engagement initiatives and policies
- Attend meetings and participate in discussions
- Represent the community and provide feedback on community engagement efforts
Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years old and live, work, play, worship, and/or go to school in Portland
- Not be a current City employee or have a conflict of interest with the City

- Open-minded and willing to consider other opinions
- Ability to be impartial and objective
- Good communication and listening skills
Time Commitment:
Members are generally appointed to 1-2 year terms and meet once per month for two hours. Additional time may be required for sub-committee work.
