Job Description:

Data Engineer Role

As a Data Engineer at Intellect Resources, you will play a critical role in designing and developing system-based solutions that support clinical, financial, and operational processes. You will work closely with healthcare analytics staff to create and support ETL processes, data marts, databases, and reports, with a focus on healthcare data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support healthcare analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure data is available and reliable for analysis.
  • Implement and optimize data integration solutions for various healthcare data sources, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
  • Tune and optimize existing data infrastructure to improve performance and scalability.
  • Ensure all data processes comply with healthcare privacy and security regulations.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues to maintain data integrity.
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation of data engineering processes and workflows.
  • Explore and implement emerging technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of data engineering experience, particularly with healthcare data.
  • Proficiency in SQL and SSIS for ETL processes (SQL expertise is essential, especially in Microsoft T-SQL).
  • Epic or EHR experience is a nice-to-have, especially for those familiar with healthcare data standards like HL7 and FHIR.
  • Experience with SQL and specific data handling tasks: Strong expertise in handling specific types of SQL tasks, as technical depth in this area is critical.
  • Proficiency with data warehousing and data modeling, with familiarity in Python or Java.
  • Experience with data integration and visualization tools such as Talend, Power BI, and SSRS.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
