Job Overview

Dakota Supply Group is seeking an Electrical Control Systems Specialist to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. This full-time, hourly position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Job

As an Electrical Control Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and assembling custom and OEM panels for projects, as well as providing technical customer support as needed. Some travel may be required in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble electrical control panels
  • Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's), sensors, radio equipment, programming software motor controls, PLC Equipment (Schneider)
  • Design, build, and test panels according to customer specifications
  • Work closely with engineering staff for efficient delivery of equipment for the customer base
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Previous controls experience
  • A contractor's or electrician's license (preferred but not required)
  • A driver's license and a clean driving record (required due to occasional job site service calls and equipment installations)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities, including excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as a team player mindset
  • Ownership of, or the ability to obtain, basic hand tools needed to accomplish work
  • An understanding of electrical drawings and schematics
  • General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office 365 programs such as Word and Excel
  • Experience with AutoCAD software (preferred but not required)
