Job Title: Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

About the Role

iProvide Home Care Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to provide high-quality care to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in promoting the independence and well-being of our clients, while also enhancing their safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities, such as personal care, grooming, and oral care

• Transfer and ambulate clients to prevent pressure sores and injuries

• Position and reposition clients to ensure their comfort and safety

• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment

• Enhance the safety and hygiene of clients and their environment

• Practice infection control measures to prevent the spread of illness

• Plan and prepare meals according to clients' nutritional needs

• Shop, pay bills, and run errands as described in the service plan

• Provide companionship and mental stimulation to clients

• Transport clients to and from medical and social appointments

• Document services provided and observe any changes in clients' condition

• Report any signs of abuse or neglect to the authorities and relevant bodies

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Certified Nurse Aide Certification from a recognized program

• One year of full-time experience in caregiving or home care within the past five years

• Ability to read, write, and understand English

• Willingness to comply with agency policies and procedures

• Ability to understand job demands and scope of work

• Compassionate, patient, and caring attitude

• Good organizational and communication skills

• Computer literacy

• Ability to practice good personal hygiene and adhere to agency dress code

Physical Demands

• Spend long hours on feet, requiring stamina

• Assist clients with physical activities, such as lifting and walking

• Perform tasks that require standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, climbing, and stooping

• Use senses such as touching, feeling, holding, and handling

• Communicate with clients and colleagues through talking and listening

• Assess and communicate with clients who are ill

• Write for extended periods of time

• Walk and run as needed

• Use close vision, peripheral vision, distant vision, and depth perception

• Drive for extended periods of time

• Work in a stressful environment

How to Qualify

• Pass an authorized CNA competency test with a minimum score of 80%

• Demonstrate communication skills, documentation skills, and ability to observe and report client status

• Show proficiency in taking vital signs, emergency procedures, and infection control measures

• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, and respect client rights

• Demonstrate an understanding of the physical, psychological, and developmental needs of our clients
