Job Title: Ecommerce Architect

As a leading retail technology company, we're seeking an experienced Ecommerce Architect to join our team and drive innovation in our rapidly evolving omnichannel environment.

Salary: $150,000 - $220,000 per year (dependent on experience)

Job Description: We're looking for an experienced Ecommerce Architect to lead the design and implementation of our ecommerce and retail technology ecosystem. In this role, you'll develop the overall technology strategy and architecture to support our omnichannel retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap for our ecommerce and retail technology platforms.
  2. Design scalable, high-performance architectures to support our ecommerce websites, mobile apps, and in-store retail systems.
  3. Evaluate and recommend technologies to enhance our digital commerce capabilities across web, mobile, and physical retail channels.
  4. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  5. Lead architecture governance and ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business strategy.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; Master's preferred 7+ years of experience as an Ecommerce Architect, with a focus on ecommerce and retail technologies. Deep knowledge of ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Oracle ATG) - Shopify preferred. Experience with microservices architectures, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), and DevOps practices. Strong understanding of retail systems including POS, order management, inventory, CRM. Excellent communication and presentation skills. TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certification preferred.
