Overview

The State of South Carolina is seeking a highly skilled Lead Nurse to join its team in the Department of Public Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting public health.

Salary & Benefits

The annual salary for this position is approximately $76,627, with opportunities for professional growth and development within the department.

About the Role

As a Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for supervising and instructing a team of nurses, reviewing staff performance, and maintaining accurate records.

You will also be responsible for providing follow-up care to patients, introducing risk-based education, and performing physical exams.

In addition, you will participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts, and maintain supportive nursing practice competencies.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, current licensure as a Registered Nurse, and at least one year of supervisory experience.

You must also possess CPR certification and be able to meet the requirements for working evenings, Saturdays, and traveling to regional sites.
