Job Description:

The successful candidate will conduct research and development of plastic materials for use in sustainable building applications. They will design and execute experiments to test mechanical, thermal, and chemical properties of materials. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new formulations and enhance existing plastic materials to meet specific technical and performance requirements.
  • Analyze test data and prepare reports on material performance, providing recommendations for product improvement.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure successful scale-up from lab to full production.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and scientific advancements in plastics and sustainability.
  • Lead projects related to recyclability, biodegradability, and carbon footprint reduction of plastic materials.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has a PhD or Master's degree in Material Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on plastics. They should have 5+ years of experience in material science with specialization in plastic materials, preferably in the building materials industry.
