Highly Skilled Diesel Mechanic Wanted for Passenger Shuttle Bus Fleet

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at ABM Industries. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical tasks on our passenger shuttle bus fleet.
Estimated Salary: $30-$40 per hour based on experience
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working with school buses or similar vehicles. Key responsibilities will include:
- Inspecting and diagnosing issues with diesel-powered equipment
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
- Repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out parts
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience working on diesel engines
- ASE certifications in engine repair, automatic transmission, suspension & steering, brakes, electrical systems, and heating & air conditioning
- A valid Class B driver's license
