Truck Fleet Maintenance Specialist

As a Truck Fleet Maintenance Specialist at Performance Foodservice, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe operation of our fleet by repairing, maintaining, and overhauling diesel equipment.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician - Class B to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies under minimal supervision. You will also complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
Responsibilities- Repair and maintain diesel equipment to ensure safe operation
- Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience
- Knowledge of PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
