Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Team Lead to join our team at Steve Schmitt Inc. This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership skills, a passion for training and development, and the ability to drive sales results.

About the Role

The Automotive Sales Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of automotive salespeople, providing coaching and guidance to improve sales performance, and setting sales goals and tracking progress. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting customers in selecting a vehicle, explaining product features and benefits, and performing high-quality presentations and demonstrations of new and used vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and manage a team of automotive salespeople to achieve sales targets.
  • Sales Coaching: Coach salespeople on best practices for closing deals and provide guidance to improve sales performance.
  • Sales Goal Setting: Set sales goals, track progress, and manage the team to achieve and exceed those quotas.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Product Knowledge: Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospective customers.
  • Presentation Skills: Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentations and demonstrations of new and used vehicles.
  • Leadership: Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous dealership and management experience is a huge plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership skills with a passion for training fellow employees.
  • Energy and Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm with high energy throughout the sales workday.
  • Goal-Oriented Personality: Goal-oriented, friendly personality, especially when negotiating pricing.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Customer Service Skills: Quality customer service, communication, computer, and basic math skills.
  • Driver's License: Clean driving record & valid driver's license.
  • Background Check: Willing to submit to a drug screen prior to employment.
Compensation

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
