Film and Television Instructor Opportunity

We are seeking qualified individuals to teach on campus in Virginia Beach, and/or online in various degree programs.

As a film and television instructor at Regent University, you will have the opportunity to shape the minds of future industry professionals. Our department is dedicated to providing students with a Christ-centered education, emphasizing academic scholarship and innovation.

About the Role

This part-time position involves teaching undergraduate-level courses in film and television-related subjects. Successful candidates will have expertise in areas such as directing, producing, cinematography, film history, aesthetics, and editing.

  • Courses may include Directing (film and television), Producing (film and television), Cinematography, Film History, Business of Film & Television, Aesthetics, History of Film & Television, Television Multi-Camera Production, and Editing.
Requirements
  • A master's or doctoral degree in film and/or television is preferred. Candidates with a master's degree may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Dedication to Christ-centered teaching and learning.
  • A record of or potential for academic scholarship.
  • Able to teach undergraduate-level courses.
  • Facility with online instructional technology.
  • Willingness to subscribe to the College and University Identity and Mission statements.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000-$70,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.
