Job Overview

The Paint Department Manager is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of facilities and equipment at Toyoda Gosei Texas.

This individual will oversee maintenance staff, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and manage the department's activities to meet operational requirements. A strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is essential to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and oversee maintenance and repairs of all company equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure proper functionality of equipment.
  • Check and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to prevent failures.
  • Plan and supervise all equipment repairs within the plant to meet deadlines.
  • Allocate workloads and manage the performance of maintenance staff to achieve high-quality results.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for equipment and parts as needed to avoid stockouts.
  • Manage expenses related to equipment maintenance and repairs to control costs.
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report daily activities to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies across the maintenance team to create a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with proven managerial experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics to design solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software to streamline tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work inside and outside the plant in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work in hot and noisy areas of the facility.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year.
