We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Medical Specialists. As a clinical care professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality, efficient care of our patients.
Job SummaryThis is a dynamic opportunity for an organized and compassionate individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our medical team to prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs, preparing exam and treatment rooms, and assisting with lab testing and phlebotomy.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, conducting patient histories, and performing routine administrative tasks.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment for treatments, including sterilization and maintenance of supplies.
- Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals, providing essential support during these procedures.
- Answer phone calls, screen referrals, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
- Current Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA) or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire date.
- Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred.
