Job Summary:

The Enterprise AI Security Architect is a crucial role for safeguarding an organization's artificial intelligence systems. This position involves creating, implementing, and managing robust security frameworks tailored for AI applications and machine learning operations across hybrid multi-cloud platforms. The architect collaborates with cross-functional teams, including AI architects, data scientists, cybersecurity experts, and business stakeholders, to ensure that AI development and utilization comply with industry standards and adapt to evolving regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Design and Architecture: Lead AI working groups to develop cybersecurity processes that enhance the enterprise's ability to create secure AI solutions, considering business, technological, and threat factors.
  • Design cybersecurity architectures for AI and ML projects in alignment with broader cybersecurity strategies.
  • Establish security controls to protect AI data pipelines and ML models from data leaks, tampering, and unauthorized access.
  • Maintain security architecture assets such as models, templates, standards, and procedures to bolster security capabilities in projects and operations.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct risk and threat modeling assessments for AI systems to identify security vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Stay informed on developments in the digital business and AI threat landscapes to adapt cybersecurity strategies and architectural designs.
  • Design and evaluate AI security assessment tools to identify AI vulnerabilities and provide technical guidance for Lines of Business (LOBs) Dev/Sec/Ops maintenance.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure AI systems comply with national and international data protection and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Implement security standards and frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST AI RMF, and ISO within AI projects.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant security regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA, HITRUST, and PCI DSS.
  • Draft and manage cybersecurity procedures and standards aligned with organizational policies.

Strategic Security Planning:

  • Lead initiatives to integrate AI capabilities within security organizations to enhance existing security platforms and processes.
  • Develop security strategy plans and roadmaps based on robust enterprise architecture practices.
  • Collaborate with AI architects and developers to embed security practices into the AI development lifecycle.
  • Advise on best practices for AI security, including secure coding practices, encryption techniques, and access control.

Vendor and Technology Assessments:

  • Evaluate the security aspects of external vendors handling sensitive or regulated data to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Review new security technologies, tools, and services, making recommendations based on security, financial, and operational metrics.
  • Assess the strategic alignment and suitability of current tools to maximize value from existing assets and partnerships.

Education and Awareness:

  • Collaborate with the broader Security organization to develop and coordinate security awareness programs that integrate AI security risks and mitigation strategies into existing training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing security frameworks for AI and machine learning systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations regarding data protection and privacy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with hybrid multi-cloud environments and technologies.
  • Background in data governance and information security management.
  • Familiarity with AI-specific security challenges and mitigation strategies.

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, cloud security, or AI security are highly desirable.
