Job Summary:

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit, Fallon, NV. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers
Perform general patient care procedures per SOPs
Recognize and institute emergency measures as needed
Check and document patient vital signs
Obtain and document patient medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs
Assist the provider during examinations
Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered
Maintain equipment, stock, and cleanliness of examination rooms
Complete lab and x-ray requisitions according to clinic policies

Requirements:

Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 2 years
