About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Account Coordinator to join our team at Peachtree Orthopedics. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Point of Service Excellence: Process patient check-outs accurately and efficiently, maintaining a patient-centered approach and attention to detail.
  • Billing and Records Management: Manage patient billing and insurance-related tasks, including timely charge capture and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Work Status Coordination: Coordinate work status forms for patients, ensuring timely completion and communication with relevant parties.
  • Patient Engagement: Keep patients informed of outstanding balances, assist with payment plans, and ensure timely notification of upcoming appointments.
  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with providers, clinical teams, and other team members to maintain clinic order and support services.
  • Financial Management: Contribute to effective financial management by processing patient refunds, handling payments, and re-billing as needed.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with third-party billing and reimbursement procedures, clinic financial policies, and industry knowledge.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and submit daily productivity reports, track trends in accounts receivable, and recommend resolutions for any issues encountered.
  • Proactive Collections: Identify trends, denial issues, or irregularities affecting resolution, ensuring efficient financial operations.
  • Adapt and Assist: Be prepared to handle various tasks and assist with other administrative or clinical responsibilities as needed.
  • Patient Inquiry Support: Respond to patient billing and statement inquiries via phone, email, or patient portals, providing prompt and courteous responses.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced medical or customer service role.
  • Certifications: Certification as a Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) is a plus.
  • Skillset: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and ability to meet productivity standards.

Compensation Package:

Our estimated annual salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000, based on location and experience level. Additional benefits include comprehensive training, opportunities for professional growth, and recognition of employee contributions.
