Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Advisor to join our team at the US Air Force. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert technical advice and guidance to our Commander on operational test and evaluation (OT&E) of major weapons systems and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior technical operational test and evaluation (OT&E) expert and principal civilian technical advisor to the Commander.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on the acquisition, development, testing, and sustainment of combat weapons systems.
  • Advise the Commander on DoD test enterprise strategic planning, tactical execution, weapons system functionality, multi-component integration, technical results analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure the engineering work of the 606th TES complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 or higher grade level.
  • Mastery of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of operational test and evaluation (OT&E) of military activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering standards and methods to formulate, execute, advise on, and explain recommendations or solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative laws, policies, concepts, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of Major Command, Air Force, and Department of Defense (DoD) program goals and objectives.
