Job Summary:
As a Surgical Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure a seamless experience for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

About the Role:
This 12-week full-time assignment offers an exciting opportunity to work in our dynamic Operating Room environment. You will be responsible for setting up the OR with necessary equipment and supplies, gathering instruments and x-rays, and handling instruments during procedures. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement a plan of care that prioritizes patient needs.

Main Responsibilities:
- Implement technical components of patient care under the supervision of a RN
- Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized plans of care
- Prepare equipment, supplies, and resource needs based on patient requirements
- Communicate accurate and timely information to RNs regarding patient status
- Maintain knowledge and skills to operate various surgical equipment and instruments safely and efficiently

Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Completion of an approved surgical technician program or prior OR experience

Work Environment:
You will be working in a fast-paced Operating Room environment, where attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks are essential. This role requires standing, walking, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds frequently, as well as occasional heavy lifting. Regular use of vision, hearing, and speech is also required.
