Overview

The Director of Room Operations is a key role within the Marriott Autograph Collection, overseeing the strategic business leadership of the property's Rooms Operations. This includes Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, and Housekeeping departments.

Job Summary

This position works closely with direct reports (department heads) to develop and implement departmental strategies, ensuring alignment with the brand's service strategy and initiatives. The Director must ensure Rooms Operations meet brand standards, target customer needs, and associate satisfaction while focusing on growing revenues and maximizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the brand's business strategy.
  • Monitor Rooms operations sales performance against budget and review reports to determine performance.
  • Coach and support operations teams to effectively manage occupancy & rate, wages, and controllable expenses.
  • Champion the brand's service vision for product and service delivery and ensure alignment amongst Rooms leadership teams.
Requirements

A 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, plus 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, plus 2 years of experience.

Benefits
