Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician.
  • Utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
  • Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and replenish stock as needed.
  • Perform imaging procedures while demonstrating principles of radiation protection.
  • May select and administer intravenous contrast media and monitor patients for possible reactions.
  • Complete all necessary work sheets, logs, patient records, and documentation.
  • Assume responsibility for teaching and educating new hires and students.
  • Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS.
  • Complete study indexing and confirm image/series counts in RIS.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
