Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Hartford Hospital in the Cardiac Surgery department.

The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care from admission to discharge, supporting our dynamic team in delivering high-quality services.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
  • As a Cardiac Surgeon Specialist, you will be responsible for managing patient care from pre-operative to post-operative stages, collaborating with a variety of consultants and specialists as needed.
  • You will perform routine physical examinations, formulate medical plans, and participate in attending rounds to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive physical assessments and interpreting diagnostic results
  • Managing emergency situations and complex patient cases
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans and address patient needs
  • Participating in educational programs and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
  • Training: Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience: New graduates welcome to apply, but 1+ year in a cardiac and/or critical care setting preferred
