Pediatric RN Per Diem Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric RN to join our Per Diem team at Oregon Health & Science University Doernbecher Children's Hospital. As a Per Diem RN, you will have the flexibility to choose your shifts and work with a variety of patients and families.

Job Summary

This Per Diem Pediatric RN position is a great opportunity for experienced RNs to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and families in our Pediatric Acute Care Medical (PACM) and Pediatric Surgical (PACS) units.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to children and families in our Pediatric Acute Care Medical (PACM) and Pediatric Surgical (PACS) units.
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive and supportive care environment.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a Pediatric RN in an acute care setting.
  • AHA BLS and AHA PALS certification (RQI not accepted).
  • Strong experience with ventilator management and tracheostomy care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
