Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit General Construction Specialist to join our team at Reed & Reed, Inc. in Maine. This role involves performing various tasks on construction sites, including operating hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, and assisting other craft workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete.
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Tend machines that pump concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster, or stucco through spray-guns for application to ceilings and walls.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
  • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
Requirements:
  • $55,000 - $65,000 per year salary.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
