Overview

Equinix, the world's digital infrastructure company, is seeking a skilled Digital Infrastructure Procurement Manager to join its team. This role will play a critical part in driving business success by developing and executing procurement strategies that deliver cost savings, reduce supplier lead times, and improve vendor performance.

Salary Range

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

As a Digital Infrastructure Procurement Manager at Equinix, you will be responsible for managing multiple and complex categories for Major Capital Equipment (MCE), with cross-functional and regionally diverse scope. Your primary objective will be to build and create category plans, manage these plans closely with leadership, and support both regional and global category management and procurement functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Partnering
    • Engage and collaborate with business teams for regional procurement and governance
    • Escalate stakeholder issues within the regional team
    • Educate the business on procurement processes and governance
    • Recommend enhancements to the Source to Pay process and systems
  • Resource Management
    • Provide management updates on supplier performance and team productivity
    • Escalate resource/budgetary issues within the team
    • Contribute to or be responsible for resource planning activities
  • Negotiations
    • Partner intra-regionally with business leaders and other key stakeholders to execute capital and operational purchases
    • Ensure appropriate supply agreements are in place and guide internal teams on monitoring adherence
    • Align with internal customers on best negotiation positions and provide a balanced view of contract risk and liabilities
    • Directly engage suppliers at the appropriate levels to influence the best outcome for Equinix
  • Procurement Strategy
    • Utilize a global perspective in executing procurement strategy within the region
    • Develop a vendor management strategy to right-size the supply strategy for the region
    • Develop, communicate, and execute against global procurement strategies and best practices for the region
    • Establish and deliver procurement goals, metrics, and work plans to meet operational objectives
    • Contribute to spend category management strategies and action plans
    • Maintain full industry and market knowledge of equipment, suppliers, best practices, competitive landscape, etc.
  • Cost Savings
    • Drive and deliver cost savings opportunities aligned with organizational commitments
    • Develop cost savings proposals and interact closely with suppliers and internal customers
    • Create and maintain cost forecasts (reduction or increase) and cost-tracking for the region
  • Supplier Management
    • Lead the end-to-end supplier management process
    • Builta dn maintain supplier relationships and drive improvement in areas of cost, risk, and quality
    • Identify and mitigate supplier risks in areas of financial, capacity, location, single sole source, spend, and revenue, etc.
  • Contract Management
    • Responsible for all relevant documentation execution including contract SOW signature, supplier certification including insurance & ISO documents
    • Partner with Legal on the contract lifecycle
    • Work with business partners to develop and agree SOW, business, and commercial requirements
    • Negotiate contract details with suppliers
