Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at QuintEvents. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences at all events globally.

About the Role

This senior leadership position oversees one of two critical functions: Hospitality and Logistics. Your primary focus will be on managing event logistics, including ticketing and fulfillment, transportation, hotels, travel, and tours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Empower and develop a team of direct and indirect reports to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Lead your team within existing systems, technology, processes, and strategies while collaborating with department leaders to drive positive change.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our department, company, and event intricacies as well as existing systems, technology, and processes.
  • Maintain high proficiency in time management, deadline management, and attention to detail to meet project deliverables.
  • Foster an environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning among team members.
Performance Metrics:
  • Achieve accuracy and timeliness in work completion for yourself and your team.
  • Consistently demonstrate collaboration and support for the global team.
  • Ensure timely completion of report(s) deliverables and provide regular updates on progress.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to address challenges and improve overall performance.
  • Evaluate and adjust processes to optimize budget utilization and maximize financial delivery.
Leadership and Personnel Management:
  • Lead 2+ direct reports and 4+ indirect reports to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Implement effective career development and coaching programs for both direct and indirect reports.
  • Cultivate a culture of growth, learning, and collaboration within the team.
  • Encourage open communication, active listening, and constructive feedback among team members.
Financial Management:
  • Manage assigned budgets effectively, ensuring alignment with sales projections and historical data.
  • Negotiate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize budget utilization.
  • Monitor and control expenses, maintaining accurate records and providing timely updates.
  • Maintain transparency and accountability in financial decision-making and reporting.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years' experience in event planning and management, preferably in sporting events, entertainment, or live experiences.
  • 4+ years' experience managing and coaching people, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Direct experience managing budgets of $500K USD to $3M USD, with a strong ability to manage variable budgets or budgets tied to sales.
  • Experience across multiple industry sectors (agency, venue, league, corporate) is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Excel, CRM software, and project management tools.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
