About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to provide exceptional care to patients at the Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our patient-focused care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages
  • Conduct routine respiratory equipment maintenance and quality control measures
  • Assess patients, interpret results accurately, and suggest alternative respiratory treatments
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates

Requirements:

Experience in an acute care hospital is preferred. A graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program and a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) are required. Additionally, a current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license and certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) provider are necessary. Other certifications may be required for specific roles.
