Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Rail Systems Assurance Manager to join our team for a large transportation project in the New York/New Jersey area.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all system assurance deliverables are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.

This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of safety and performance for the project by facilitating successful project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and oversee assurance activities, ensuring all requirements are captured and mapped through project phases.
  • Address and manage technical risks, regulations and standards, stakeholder and contract requirements, and system engineering specifications.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses, documenting and managing derived technical and operational risks.
  • Develop and maintain processes and documentation to support systems assurance, providing timely evidence to stakeholders at each lifecycle stage.
  • Advise projects on compliance with systems assurance processes, engineering standards, and user requirements, ensuring safety assurance issues are documented throughout the project.
  • Perform systems assurance reviews, providing feedback and ensuring adherence to safety assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, participating in working groups to influence the direction of engineering and technical development.
  • Gather best practices and data to enhance the systems assurance function and improve overall project performance.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in managing system assurance specifically within heavy civil construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $220,000.
