This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in cost accounting, preferably within a plant setting. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as SAP experience, preferably with Material Ledger.

The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial data, conducting analysis, and recommending actions to improve operational efficiency. This includes partnering with plant management to manage costs, overseeing financial controls, preparing budget forecasts, and developing cost standards for BOMs and labor rates.

The successful candidate will also be involved in continuous improvement projects, capital proposal reviews, and inventory management. This is an on-site role in a dynamic manufacturing environment, working closely with both plant and corporate teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Challenge assumptions and support cost improvements in plant operations.
  • Partner with plant management and engineering teams to manage costs and review capital proposals.
  • Oversee the preparation and coordination of the plant budget.
  • Ensure the accuracy of production orders and variances in labor/material usage.
  • Develop and maintain BOM standards, labor, and indirect cost rates.
  • Support inventory accuracy and financial audit processes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience, ideally in a plant environment.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • SAP experience is essential, with Material Ledger preferred.
