Job Overview

Phoenix Fire ABA is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Behavioral Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Therapist, you will work closely with our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to clients in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
  • Discuss daily progress with parents and caregivers.
  • Maintain client program books and work with BCBAs to implement individualized goals and checklists.
  • Collect data on client behaviors through direct observation and assist BCBAs with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.
  • Teach clients specific behavior skills called for in treatment plans and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • No experience required, but one year or more of RBT experience preferred.
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members.
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with special needs and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Education or Speech experience.
