Job Summary:

As a Quality Technician at American Woodmark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products. Your primary responsibility will be to approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Approve incoming material quality
  • Conduct quality audits to confirm and validate quality according to drawings specifications
  • Data entry (TQS)
  • Conduct quality audits on Assembly and Mill departments
  • Approve in process production, returns products for re-work; confirms rework
  • First article inspections
  • Bi Weekly Quality Audits on FA Packs and FG Cabinets
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs
  • Keeps quality boards updated on a daily basis
  • Maintains Safety and Quality standards
  • Participates in Quality, Safety and Production meetings
  • Maintains good communication with all Quality and Production team
  • Reports to Quality Lead/ Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:

0 -- 6 months of previous work experience

Skills:

Must have the ability to comprehend and follow instructions

Must be able to assess and prioritize workload

Must be able to work independently and within a team environment

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
